Pearls and goodies pilfered, they make a getaway in their lemon of a clunker to the tenement block in Cheeseborough they call home. A brief relaxation is interrupted by a knock on the door - Police Chief Crassus Mauser with a squad of cars! The mice flee, but the cops are hot on their tails. Action Goes Here. The chase culminates in a hopeless dead-end! - details are hazy at the moment, but the thrust of it is that the Big Cheese, or one of his minions, somehow intervenes to preserve them from capture - perhaps a burly bulldog casually rotates a dumpster to hide them in an alleyway just before the cars race by. Now indebted, the pair must work for the Cheese. Big, appearing only as a hulking silhouette of two large, bitten rat ears, sends them out on a job right away to test their abilities.
