Hello and welcome. Here you’ll find all of the information you need to understand OAHM.
What is the game about?
A cute couple of mice try to repay a massive debt to a crime kingpin while avoiding capture by the cops.
Story Overview
The game begins with the tale of how they wound up indebted to The Big Cheese, continues through a series of episodic heists against the boss’ targets, and culminates in a showdown with the boss, after the mice, realizing they share a common enemy with the police, team up with the Police Chief Crassus Mauser to take on the greatest threat to Tidyhole once and for all.

Title Style Note
When using the game’s title, write out “Once a Henchmouse…” with the ellipsis. The goal is to instill in the reader’s mind the complement of this phrase, “…always a henchmouse”, to hint that unless the two mice are able to escape a life of crime on the one hand, or a life sentence on the other, they’ll be trapped forever either way - a lose-lose situation.
What genre is OAHM?
You can call it an “action sokoban” or an “action puzzle game”, optionally specifying “wario- and zachlike elements”.
